The Candlewood Suites in Flowood, MS, a MMI managed property has an opportunity  opportunity for a Hotel General Manager,  This position is responsible for overseeing the operation a select-service hotel and be responsible for sales.  The General Manager will direct and oversee all operational activities and departments in the hotel to maximize revenue and deliver a positive experience and exceptional customer service for the guests, keeping guest satisfaction as high as possible.  Additional responsibilities will include developing new accounts, maintaining existing accounts, supervising sales-related personnel, and implementing sales and marketing strategies. 

The ideal candidate will have a Hotel Management, General Business or Marketing degree with at least two (2) year hotel management experience.  Experience in running a profitable hotel including assisting in the development of annual budgets is a must.  You must be an excellent communicator who is comfortable speaking to guest, team members and vendors. 

If you are able to oversee the day-to-day operations of a hotel by providing exceptional customer service;  implementing and adhering to QA standards while developing short and long term financial goals this could be the job for you!  As General Manager, you must be willing to accommodate fluctuating business demands which will include working some evenings, weekends and holidays.
